The Craft Room

Rothko Paint Your Own

Forget the crowds outside the Rothko exhibition at the Tate Modern. Join the JCC for a hands-on exploration of the man and his art. Let yourself go on the canvas with a knowledgeable craft supremo.

Hear about the meaning behind Rothko’s riotous colour from Art Lecturer Estelle Lovatt, who will inspire your creations, and vibe out to a post-war jazz soundtrack. Get that 100% New York feeling and bring home your own masterpiece. All materials provided.

Produced by YaD Arts.

Silk painting with the Jewish Museum

Create your own mini masterpiece in this fun beginners’ workshop. Silk painting is simple to pick up and produces beautiful, vibrant end results. Come and learn basic techniques or develop your skills if you have done it before.

This is the perfect time to come and create a special Channukah gift(for you or someone else!).

There will be two workshops: one in the morning and one in the evening. Places are limited so early booking is advised.

In partnership with The Jewish Museum.
